What guides us.

Vision

Transform and scale career connections between students and employers so that all students have equitable access to high quality, work-based learning opportunities, and employers are proactively involved in shaping their evolving workforce requirements.

Mission

Provide students and employers with a centralized, regional, connection hub for high-quality work-based learning activities. All students benefit from experiences critical to building the employability skills essential for future workforce needs. Equitable and scalable career experiences are built through ongoing professional development and technical support to our school, college and employer partners.

Values

The Career Hub is committed to equity of access and excellence of service in everything we do.  We believe:

  • Every student should graduate knowing and appreciating their next steps.

  • We all possess unique strengths that, when identified and developed, enhance our career value, satisfaction and success.

  • All students should have multiple opportunities to connect with employers during their academic careers.

  • The quantity and quality of work-based learning needs to be scaled in order to provide equity of access for all students.

  • Employers and their employees benefit from working more closely with students - developing students’ technical and employability skills becomes part of their own workforce development strategy.

  • Schools, colleges and employers benefit from wrap-around support to meet their work-based learning needs.
